STRATEGIC APPROACHES IN POPULARIZATION OF LATEST TOURISM INDUSTRY TRENDS

The article explores current trends in the tourism industry, focusing on the integration of art therapy and retreat tourism as innovative tools for health improvement, spiritual development, and cultural promotion within the hospitality system. The research emphasizes how hotels can become platforms for cultural communication through the inclusion of art spaces, wellness programs, and immersive sensory experiences. Retreat tourism is examined as a modern and increasingly popular form of travel that responds to the psychological, emotional, and physical needs of individuals seeking harmony and self-awareness. Special attention is given to different types of retreats: medical, spiritual, and cultural – highlighting their impact on human well-being. The study analyzes international practices in the USA, Southeast Asia, and Europe, and compares them to the growing interest in such tourism in Ukraine. The Carpathians and the Odesa region are presented as promising locations for the development of retreat tourism, with their natural resources, historical heritage, and spiritual centers. In particular, the Odesa region is considered for the implementation of a new hospitality model that combines wellness tourism with medical services, including diagnostics, rehabilitation, detox programs, aesthetic medicine, and personalized health plans. The article proposes the construction of a new generation of hotels offering year-round retreat programs in an environment of care, silence, and respect. It also identifies key challenges, such as the lack of qualified rehabilitation and wellness professionals and insufficient educational infrastructure. The need for synergy between natural healing methods and modern medical technologies is stressed as a pathway to building a sustainable retreat tourism ecosystem in Ukraine. The study concludes that in times of global instability and chronic stress, retreat tourism emerges as a vital strategy for achieving personal balance, health, and conscious living.
