Abstract

The article examines the features of using intellectual innovations in the field of small business in rural areas. The need for the introduction of intellectual innovations, which currently concern all spheres and types of economic activity within the functioning of the macroeconomic system of any country, is substantiated. It is noted that the permanence of transformation processes necessitates the need for rapid adaptation to changing business conditions, the search for new approaches to solving problematic issues of the development and functioning of business entities, in particular the small business sector. It is emphasized that the use of intellectual and innovative technologies as a significant component of the development of society makes it possible to improve the provision of the human life process, providing opportunities for shaping the effectiveness of spheres and types of activity within territorial economic systems, in particular rural areas. Priority areas for the application of intellectual innovations are identified to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the small business sector. A number of problematic issues in the development of intellectual innovations in small businesses have been identified, including limited resources, low awareness and sometimes even rejection of technological innovations, technical challenges, and regulatory barriers. The spheres of influence of intellectual innovations on ensuring the balanced development of rural areas and improving the quality of the living environment of rural residents are outlined. Integration processes of rural development, and in particular the small business sector, need to be activated, where it is expedient and necessary to combine efforts and coordinated actions of all participants in the process of ensuring rural development as a whole, where a significant role is assigned to state and regional authorities, local self-government bodies, business structures, interested members of territorial communities.
