DIGITALIZATION AS A FACTOR IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

The study substantiates the necessity of moving from fragmented implementation of digital technologies to a comprehensive digital transformation of management processes that integrates information resources, innovative business processes, digital platforms, and advanced analytical tools into a unified decision-support system. The purpose of the research is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for the digitalization of innovation management in the agricultural sector through the elaboration of the author’s Digital Innovation Management System for Agriculture (DIMSA) concept, a structural and functional model of digital management, a cause-and-effect mechanism explaining the impact of digital technologies on innovation performance. The proposed DIMSA concept integrates the external and internal information environment of an enterprise, a unified digital data platform, strategic innovation management functions, innovation implementation mechanisms, and a KPI-based performance evaluation system supported by continuous digital feedback. The practical applicability of the proposed approach is demonstrated through its implementation at an agricultural enterprise, where the digital maturity index was calculated and priority directions for further digital transformation were identified. The modeling results confirm that integrated application of digital tools significantly improves labor productivity, profitability, business process automation, innovation activity, investment attractiveness, and management efficiency while reducing decision-making time and production costs. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of an integrated concept and methodological toolkit that combine digital technologies, innovation management, analytical support, and strategic planning into a unified management system aimed at strengthening the competitiveness, adaptability, and sustainable development of agricultural enterprises in the digital economy.
