FORESIGHT AS A MECHANISM FOR INCREASING THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL COMPETITIVENESS OF LIVESTOCK ENTERPRISES

The article examines the conceptual and methodological principles for using foresight as a tool to enhance the scientific and technological competitiveness of livestock enterprises in an environment characterized by uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. It is noted that traditional approaches to forecasting the agricultural sector's development are becoming less effective due to the rapid pace of technological change and the global challenges of food security. Foresight, as a systemic technology of collective foresight, enables the integration of knowledge from various scientific and industrial spheres, providing a basis for developing adaptive strategies for enterprise development. The methodological architecture of the foresight approach in livestock farming is revealed, including the main stages of the foresight cycle: scanning the environment, identifying critical technological directions, conducting scenario analysis, and developing development roadmaps. Special attention is paid to the use of modern foresight tools - the Delphi method, expert panels, technological forecasting, scenario building, and trend analysis. An analysis of future scientific and technological vectors in livestock development was conducted, including the implementation of systems (PLF), a digital management ecosystem, biotechnological innovations, genome editing, and solutions to increase the resilience of livestock enterprises. Within the framework of scenario forecasting, possible trajectories of the industry's development under the influence of global drivers of change – climatic, technological, socio-economic, and environmental factors – were considered. The results of the study confirm that foresight is not only a prognostic but also a strategic and integrative tool that enhances the competitiveness of agricultural businesses by enabling the timely identification of opportunities, risks, and technological gaps. Expanding research in these areas will enable greater accuracy in technological forecasting, the development of sustainable strategies for enterprise development, and the competitiveness of enterprises in the global scientific and technological environment.
