LABOR MARKET IN UKRAINE: MACROECONOMIC TRENDS AND MICRO-LEVEL ADAPTATIONS

The article is devoted to the study of the transformation of the Ukrainian labor market in 2022-2025. The topic is relevant as the military impact, macroeconomic shocks, and microeconomic adaptations have caused significant structural shifts in labor relations. Bilateral analysis of the labor market can serve as a basis for further research and identification of strategic priorities for labor market development. The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical and methodological analysis of the relationship between macroeconomic trends in the Ukrainian labor market and adaptation strategies of microeconomic actors, to identify structural imbalances and possible ways to overcome them. To achieve this goal, the article uses general scientific and special research methods: the method of generalization - to identify the main macroeconomic trends of the modern labor market in Ukraine; methods of analysis and synthesis - to identify certain groups of adaptation strategies of microeconomic actors; empirical method – to identify the cause-and-effect relationship between the parameters of the labor market; graphical method - to visualize the results of the study. The author analyses the causal relationship between macroeconomic trends in the Ukrainian labor market and microeconomic adaptation strategies. By analyzing statistical data, the author proves a direct link between GDP dynamics and unemployment. The existing paradox of the labor market in Ukraine is considered: simultaneous shortage of workers and structural unemployment. It is substantiated that with the beginning of the active phase of the war, the labor market has become more mobile and microeconomic actors more flexible. The main structural imbalances of the labor market are identified: imbalance between supply and demand; critical shortage and qualitative imbalance of personnel; change in the structure of demand; inclusion of new groups and change in forms of employment. Possible ways to overcome structural imbalances after the war are proposed. The results of the study indicate the need for a comprehensive approach to the modernization of the labor market, which will ensure its recovery on a qualitatively new basis.
